Movoto Real Estate completed a study recently rating the safest cities in Mississippi.  They finalized their rankings based on crime data from the FBI's Uniform Crime Report evaluating specific data regarding murder, rape, robbery, assault, burglary, theft, and vehicle theft.

This speaks well for our City, and especially our Police Department, to be ranked #9 in this rating considering we are the 3rd largest city out of 362 Mississippi cities.
