The City of Southaven’s Board of Aldermen recently authorized the bidding process for this project which will provide a new asphalt overlay for Church Road between I-55 and Highway 51.  This project is one of many in the City’s comprehensive Transportation Improvement Program and is 80% funded with federal dollars from the Metropolitan Planning Organization administered through MDOT.

Construction is projected to begin in October of this year with completion in the same month.  This is a much-needed and overdue project, and part of a continued aggressive plan to improve infrastructure within our city.
