
William A. Jerome was born in Memphis, TN and moved to Desoto County in 1978. He graduated from Horn Lake High School in 1987 and enlisted in the United States Army that same year. He spent 30 years serving on active duty with the Army and the Tennessee Army National Guard, retiring in 2019 as a Chief Warrant Officer 4. His highest awards include the Legion of Merit and the Bronze Star for Meritorius Service. He also graduated Summa Cum Laude from Grantham University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Multidisciplinary Studies.
He moved to Southaven in 1993 and married his wife, Patti Heffner Jerome, in 1994. Patti is a longtime resident of Southaven and a 1989 graduate of Southaven High School. They have raised their two children, Jessica Elizabeth (26) and William Patrick (24) here in Southaven. Jessica is a professional princess and Patrick (CBU ’21) is currently working as a staff civil engineer at a Memphis company.
William is a member of Longview Heights Baptist Church and currently serves on their Special Needs Ministry Team as well as their Security Team. He is a member of the Desoto County Republican Club.
