Notably, THE TREE, once a meeting place and athletic marker, now stands in the middle of a Main Street shopping center


The beloved JAYCEE POOL, where children from all over gathered to cool off, play games, and make summertime memories


CHERRY VALLEY PARK served as the birthplace of youth recreational sports in Southaven


THE DONNIE WOODS FIELD, named for a local student, became a magnet for church softball games


JAGO COMMUNITY, one of the oldest incorporated communities established by emancipated Black Americans after the Civil War


THE CHICKASAW INDIAN TRAIL, a rare surviving path once traveled by the Chickasaw Nation
