Our mission may result in capture of animals for:
Return to their owner (where appropriate)
Transport to our shelter for evaluation and care until such time as they may be released back to their owner (where appropriate)
Adoption to a new owner
This mission may also result in the euthanizing of an animal when circumstances warrant such action.
We are set up to accommodate in our shelter domesticated dogs and cats. We also have temporary holding areas for livestock in the event we have to hold them until more appropriate facilities can be found for shelter.
The Animal Control Division is under the direction of the director of operations and managed daily by the office manager. Staff consists of two animal control officers, one administrative shelter staff position and one kennel technician.
