Water System

Water Sources

The water provided by the City of Southaven's Utility Department is pumped out of the Memphis Sand aquifer utilizing 11 ground water supply wells and sent to four water treatment plants where it is treated and tested to safeguard public health.

The Utility Department maintains a highly trained and licensed staff of personnel to ensure the water we supply to our customers meets or exceeds federal and State water quality standards. In accordance with federal and State requirements, we prepare and submit a Consumer Confidence Report (CCR) to our customers and state officials.

  • Wells
  • Treatment plants
  • Distribution system of water mains
