The City of Southaven has conducted a comprehensive inventory of all service lines within its water distribution system and hereby declares that there are no lead service lines, galvanized requiring replacement service lines, or lead status unknown service lines in its inventory, regardless of ownership status. This determination is based on the following sources of information:

1. A system-wide meter replacement project conducted in 2021-2022, during which City inspectors performed visual inspections of service line materials at every meter location throughout the distribution system.
2. Historical records of water system installations and improvements, which document the materials used in our distribution system.
3. Construction standards and specifications that have prohibited the use of lead materials in our water system.

The visual inspections confirmed the absence of lead service lines, lead gooseneck connectors, and galvanized pipe requiring replacement. In accordance with 40 CFR 141.84(a)(4) and the USEPA's 'Guidance for Developing and Maintaining a Service Line Inventory,' all service lines in our system are categorized as 'Non-lead.'
